Odor Removal Services

Molecular-level neutralization — ozone, hydroxyl, and thermal fogging.

OVERVIEW

What this work actually involves.

Persistent odor is a signal, not a nuisance. After a death, biohazard event, fire, or water damage, odor molecules embed themselves in porous materials and circulate through HVAC systems. Air fresheners only cover them — temporarily.

KRI removes odor at its source and then treats the structure with molecular-level technology: ozone generation, hydroxyl radicals, and thermal fogging. We identify what's producing the odor, remove it, and treat the space until it is genuinely neutral.

PROTOCOL / 03

The same six steps. Every single call.

Crime scene and biohazard remediation isn't improvised. Every KRI job follows the same documented protocol, from dispatch to certificate of safe habitation.

  1. 1

    Equip

Full PPE — Tyvek, P100 respirators, double nitrile, eye protection — staged before any technician enters the affected area.

  2. 2

    Restrict

Physical containment and access control. Adjacent rooms are sealed; HVAC is isolated; entry is logged.

  3. 3

    Remove

Unsalvageable porous material is cut out, double-bagged as regulated waste, and chain-of-custody documented for disposal.

  4. 4

    Sanitize

Hospital-grade disinfection — multiple passes with EPA-registered tuberculocidals across every reachable surface.

  5. 5

    Verify

ATP swab testing and visual re-inspection confirm the area meets the IICRC S540 standard for biohazard remediation.

  6. 6

    Certify

Written certificate of decontamination — accepted by insurers, landlords, and county health departments.

QUESTIONS / ODOR REMOVAL SERVICES

The things people actually ask.

  • Because they mask instead of remove. If the source material remains — contaminated subfloor, soot, soaked drywall — the odor returns. We remove the source first, then treat the structure at the molecular level.

  • Ozone is highly effective but must be used by trained technicians in an unoccupied, sealed space, followed by a clearance period before reentry. We manage the entire process and confirm the area is safe before you return.

  • It depends on the source and severity. Simple cases resolve in a single treatment; structural penetration may require source removal plus several treatment cycles. We give you a timeline after assessment.

DISPATCH / 24/7

When you need us, you'll know.

Call the 24/7 line first. We answer in person, ask only what we need to dispatch a crew, and confirm an arrival window before we hang up.
